The Purdue University Student Health Center (PUSH) stands as the central healthcare hub on campus, naturally positioning it as the top preference for students needing medical assistance. Acknowledging the layout of their facilities, PUSH has recognized the challenges students encounter while navigating their premises and wants PurdueTHINK’s assistance in performing an overhaul of their entire navigation system. In Fall 2023 they collaborated with PurdueTHINK to analyze the system and generate a list of recommendations for changes to be made.
This upcoming semester, it is PurdueTHINK’s job to expand upon the previously provided recommendations to provide PUSH with a detailed implementation strategy along with specific designs and tools to be used throughout the implementation. Throughout the process of implementing a costly and widespread project like this, there can be a lot of steps and roadblocks that the implementation plan should address as best as possible. By the end of the semester, PUSH should have all the materials needed to seamlessly carry out the implementation from start to finish.

InnovateHer Hackathon, an innovative initiative started by PSG, is a hackathon event tailored to provide an inclusive space for women in STEM. Acknowledging the need for diversity, InnovateHer challenges the conventional norms of male-dominated hackathon spaces. Operating presently as a temporary initiative, InnovateHer aims to transition strategically into a permanent student organization, seeking to expand its impact within Purdue University's STEM community.
With their upcoming event approaching in just over a month, the InnovateHer board, focused on short-term goals, has entrusted PurdueTHINK to strategically plan for their long-term impact and sustainability. At the heart of this transition lies the challenge of formalizing its SAO (Student Activities and Organizations) status and organizational structure. Beyond the official registration and structure, this transition also requires the social and cultural establishment of the event in Purdue’s community. Additionally, we are tasked with crafting a robust growth strategy that will empower InnovateHer to navigate its expansion, ensuring a sustained impact within Purdue University.

PurdueTHINK has been tasked by Purdue’s RHA to create and process data on gender violence on campus. To do this, the project was broken down into two parts: data collection & analytics, and strategy & implementation. The entire project works to utilize this data to give the best strategy recommendation on the implementation and facilitation of on campus events that work to prevent interpersonal violence on the basis of gender on Purdue’s campus.
The year long project has two set milestones. The first, being data collection, processing and analytics. The team created in collaboration with Purdue’s IDA+A a survey that measures how students feel, interact with, and witness gender violence on campus. This survey will be sent to all 41,000 students on Purdue’s campus.
The second half of this project deals with strategy and implementation. By utilizing the data collected in part one, the team is able to create the structure needed to build a strategy that targets where Purdue students need the most help either in education, resources, or other interpersonal aids to better help prevent gender violence on campus.

PurdueTHINK, one of Purdue's premier consulting organizations, has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years, witnessing a surge in both external interest and internal members and resources. Purdue Student Government (PSG) lies at the heart of Purdue, fostering connections between students at Purdue University while employing diverse channels to actively engage with the student body. Whether setting up informative tables across campus, organizing special events, or maintaining a digital presence through newsletters and emails, PSG is dedicated to creating meaningful interactions. Additionally, the PSG office spaces within the Krach Leadership Center are also a key aspect of PSG’s engagement with the students of Purdue.
However, despite PSG's initiatives, there is still much room for growth regarding two pivotal challenges. Firstly, there's a noticeable lack of engagement on PSG's non-social media digital platforms, such as email and BoilerLink, posing a barrier to effective communication with the student body. Secondly, despite acquiring the space in Krach, there's a need to amplify awareness, usage, and foot traffic within these physical locations. This project aims to rejuvenate digital engagement and optimize the utilization of PSG's physical spaces, ensuring a more impactful and inclusive connection with the Purdue student body.

The Purdue THINK Internal Strategy project aims to develop a long-term strategic plan that will address how our club will remain a leading and impactful student organization. In recent semesters, our club has faced a surge in student interest, leading to an intensified competitive landscape. This leaves us with ample opportunity to strategically position ourselves moving forward.
We have developed a benchmarking method to gain a better understanding of where we stand compared to our peers. We have looked into the internal operations of our club to determine where we are flourishing and where we could grow. With this information, we are developing a strategy to determine where our organization stands and plan where we want to go.
